If you have ever met the Schwartzenberg family then you know that kindness beams out of each of them like sunshine and when you stop by OBX Frozen Yogurt in Southern Shores, you will instantly feel welcome. We caught up with the local owners to invite them to our Outer Banks Mom Approved program because on top of an incredibly clean and kid-friendly establishment, they also take the time to make sure that everyone that comes through their doors receives the same top-notch service.
Jeff, Jennifer and even their daughter, Kaitlyn, can be found working in the front of the shop while smiling and having fun with their customers.
We love that OBX Frozen Yogurt has so many delicious flavor options but don’t let the name fool you! They offer far more treats than just frozen yogurt! We have a family of very opinionated dessert connoisseurs and OBX Frozen Yogurt truly has something that everyone loves! We love that it’s a one stop shop for all of us! Joey is crazy over the Dippin’ Dots and Penny and Lulu are always excited to pile toppings onto their favorite flavors of frozen yogurt. Jason and I go back and forth between the egg-free cookie dough and frozen yogurt. We’ve made a lot of fun memories and shared lots of laughs while enjoying their treats and word on the street is that a hot chocolate bar is going to included on their Winter menu! Year round goodness from year round locals who LOVE what they do, of course, they are Outer Banks Mom Approved!
We are just so excited that this great locally owned business is here in Southern Shores. Owning a business has been a long time dream for the Schwartzenberg family and we know that their success is a direct result of their hard work and amazing treats! We love that Jeff wants this to be a destination treat shop that locals and visitors can enjoy! Two thumbs up!
