If you read my recent blog about how I am re-implementing self-care into my life then you already know that I have carved out some me time each evening after the kids go to bed. For the past 8 years, I have owned my own business and I always use the evening hours to do a little bit of extra work. At the start of the new year, I started using this evening time to write, exercise, pray and stretch. I’ve been sneaking in deep conditioning treatments and face masks here and there and I found an awesome teeth whitening product to use at home.
Have y’all heard of Smile Brilliant? It is seriously the easiest way to get professional level teeth whitening from your home and it’s a fraction of the cost. For about $140-190 you receive a kit to create retainer-style molds right at home. Then you send back to your molds and they send back custom made teeth whitening trays that perfectly shape your teeth. The kit also comes with desensitizing gel and whitening gel. It’s seriously too easy!
We are embarking on NEW territory in our house. Our oldest gets braces this week! I’ve been spending lots of time with Joey at the orthodontist while he gets all of his measurements and preparation x-rays. While I have sat in the waiting room I’ve had plenty of time to read pamphlets about the different services that they offer. One of the things that they offer is professional teeth whitening. I was sort of in sticker shock when I saw the price tag for this in-office service was about $600. No thanks!
I’ve been a coffee drinker for a few years now but I have had to cut back on caffeine because of a heart issue that recently came into play. You can wear the teeth whitening trays for 45 minutes to an hour and brush your teeth normally when you take them off. Since they are custom fitted, you can wear the trays while doing normal household chores or, if you’re like me, doing your afternoon carpool pickup routine! Since our kids are so far apart in age, my afternoon pickup route from elementary school to high school is about an hour round-trip! The perfect time to put the trays on and when I get home, I just brush my teeth and voila!
