HEALTH
This new, innovative studio offers something for everyone. Finally an OBX gym that provides childcare while locals and vacationers break a sweat. This has been a long time need in our community. Located conveniently in Kitty Hawk, classes are offered throughout the day to fit your schedule.Their unique variety of classes are upbeat and sure to please! From HIIT, Barre, Whimsy Warrior and more you're going to love this amazing new space and concept!
EVENT
This brand new event will take place June 8-9 at the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head. Featuring over 20 tiny homes to tour this event is one of a kind! We're excited to tour such a large variety of homes and experience the Tiny House Movement for ourselves! Food trucks will also be on site so you can come for the tour, grab lunch and enjoy the beautiful views from the event site.
ART
Jill Block is truly a local Outer Banks artist with a heart of gold. Jill paints with a unique style that is all her own. With an incredible use of color, her modern pieces are begging to be displayed and enjoyed by all. I love her abstract designs and bright colors! You can find her new studio in Kitty Hawk but be sure to follow her on Instagram too!
SHOP
Under new ownership this year, Tommy's Natural Foods Market and Wine Shop in the heart of Duck is a must-stop-shop when in town. Keeping the original flavor of the market, the new owners have found a perfect balance by adding some amazing new products as well. You'll love the local foods that are offered and unique gifts too! We love that they offer natural, grass fed beef and fresh seafood. They also offer a wide range of gluten free and vegan items too!
EAT
Woo Casa Kitchen is locally owned by one of the sweetest families. One of my favorite things about this fabulous new restaurant is that the menu is inspired by their travels and adds color, texture and flavor to each dish. I'm a big fan of their "Feeling Brunchy" menu offerings and find myself craving their Morning Rice Bowl. Woo Casa offers fresh ingredients, vegan options and local seafood. I'm especially loving that their sweet daughter is their motivation behind it all! Be sure to stop in to Woo Casa in Nags Head in the Outer Banks Mall, milepost 14!
PLAY
Presented by Kitty Hawk Kites, the Rogallo Kite Festival is one of our favorite weekends of the year. We absolutely love this fun event that takes place on Jockey's Ridge in Nags Head. With larger than life kites, this show will take your breath away. You can bring a kite to fly on your own or just sit back and enjoy the 100+ foot colorful kites as they soar overhead. The 36th annual Rogallo Kite Festival here in Nags Head takes place on June 14-16th!
STAY
A luxury stay at the Sanderling Resort is far from a new experience here on the Outer Banks but with the beautiful new addition of the Event House and 4 new guest rooms, we had to add it to the June Bucket List! These beautiful new guest rooms are available for your stay and each one has a stunning view of the ocean or the sound. The Outer Banks most iconic resort is the perfect place for your stay, nestled just past downtown Duck on your way to Corolla. Fresh landscaping will catch your eye first with beautiful roses and hydrangeas, the place is bursting with Southern charm.
